It's not like I'm watching Fox on a regular basis, but somehow I came across a link to a video with a skeptical newscaster explaining the alignment of 2012. If the world does end, though, they'll cover it. I also loved the trailer embedded as entertainment. I guess I've spent as much time with the Maya as most, and am somewhat familiar with their ruins and the calendar. Speculation cheapens the accomplishment of a culture who independently discovered Zero. By the way, 2012 isn't the end of the calender; it is Year Zero. To ancient Mayans, the fierce power of Null inspired bloody sacrifice. Let's hope the new world knows better.
